One Hundred & Two

Condition your mind.

Life is as beautiful a thing as any. But the world is a cruel place if you are willing to conform to its expectations. People are evil creatures if you allow them to take advantage of you. Emotions are destructive if you let them conquer your mind.

You must learn to condition your mind.

Always remember that the heart is just an organ. It has responsibilities and functions based on those responsibilities just like any other organ. If an organ is overused, it becomes exhausted. If an organ is taken care of, it stays healthier for longer.

Since the stomach and the heart are both organs, one might assume that they are comparable. If a stomach is overfed regularly, it will not explode - it will develop a natural appetite and dependence on larger portions. Respectively, if a stomach is constantly starved then over time it will gradually shrink and this will cause natural appetite adjustments. If a heart is overfed or starved of love, it will not shrink. The heart pumps blood. It is not a secure vault in which mass amounts of love can be stored nor does it have any tangible association with that emotion. Don't make me get all scientific on yo ass..

Whether or not your heart is deprived or overdosed (on love) your heart will not stop, shrink, collapse, break, shatter, etc. Love is not from the heart and it does not belong in the heart. Inside your heart is LIFE. Love belongs in the mind with excitement, jealousy, pain, happiness, anger, and all other emotions.

Don't fool yourself into believing emotions are stemmed from the heart and rooted in the soul. That common excuse is used to deal with negative emotions and it is merely an idea founded upon weakness and a lack of acceptence of truth. The truth is that emotions are mental projections and opinions that are developed through interaction, intuition and intention. Emotions are difficult and should not be fucked with, but life is difficult too and in order to deal with life's difficulties you must do only two things: live life one step at a time and condition your mind.

Know that you are human and you are susceptible to failure. But more importantly, know that you are you and you must never let anyone determine whether you deserve to be any more or any less. You were you long before anyone stepped into your life and you will be you as soon as they fall out of it.

Settle for nothing.
Regret nothing.
Fear only yourself.

Condition your mind.
