Light Painting: a photographic technique in which light can be used to selectively illuminate parts of the subject or to "paint" a picture by shining the light over specific areas. It is required that exposures are made at a sufficiently slow shutter speed and are usually at night or in darkened settings. In many cases, the light source itself does not have to appear in the image.
