Nineteen

Five more reasons to love Alicia Keys:

1. Under the works of Halle Berry, Alicia's starring in the novel-based “Compositions in Black and White”, a story originally written by Kathryn Talalay. Alicia will portray Philippa Schuyler, who embodied the story of a white mother's Harlem-born piano prodigy child (a seemingly fitting role, don't you think?) who defied social attitudes to make marvelous classical music in the 1940's and 1950's.

2. She's helping produce a remake of the the 1958 film "Bell, Book & Candle", due next year. In accordance with the original, she plays a witch wishing to cast a love spell on a neighbour whom she actually falls in love with herself. I'm pretty sure after it's release, it will be widely agreed that a witch has never been so pretty.

3. Her fourth studio release is due this December. She's been quoted to have said it's "strange as hell" in all the experimenting and new sounds she's incorporated. The first single "Doesn't Mean Anything" was made available online earlier this month.. SOsososo good.

4. She's headlining at this year's Cayman Island Jazz Festival as one of the final night's performers on December 5th. If you didn't tune into last year's production, you missed amazing music from really soulfu and fresh new artists, plus big names like Robin Thicke, Terrence Howard, Angie Stone and ANITA BAKER!!! Keep your tv on BET from December 3rd to 5th and fill your ears and soul with some good music.

5. She continues to grow more and more beautiful, as does her voice. Too marvelous for words.

*sigh* i love you.
